Is This Where We Stop?

Is This Where We Stop investigates the changes that the Georgian population has been facing since the country’s independence, especially in rural areas. The research begins from the trailers of Soviet ZIL-131 trucks, which are scattered throughout the Georgian countryside. These military structures have been adapted in time, partly for convenience and partly as a warning, following the course of the world and the phases of history. The instability of their structures and the precariousness of their installations seem to describe an ultimately unstable balance: how much space will there be for future changes? Will the current status quo be challenged to create a new balance?
